Feed Central’s Quality Certification System is what differentiates your product in a competitive market place as it gives buyers the assurances and information that they need when choosing the right feed for them.

Feed Central has a growing team of representatives each with a personal stake in the business. We work with large and regular users of hay, so we do not sell less than a full semi-trailer load at a time.

This team is committed to visiting your farm to inspect your products and then selling it for the price that you nominate.

It does not stop there, Feed Central takes the hassle out for you by completing a written market appraisal on your product (post inspection); sending you regular market reports; putting written contracts in place (at the time of sale) and organising all the transport.

We even GUARANTEE the payment to you the seller.

Feed Central’s 12 Step Process

Step 3: On Farm Inspection
Feed Central’s on-farm inspection is a critical component of our Quality Certification Service. All hay listed must be inspected and certified. On Farm Inspection
It is this quality system that differentiates your product in a competitive marketplace.

Step 4: Scientific Analysis
Following the farm visit, the core sample is sent to a NATA accredited laboratory for analysis using a dedicated and proven process. Scientific Analysis

Step 5: Valuation
The results of the visual assessment and Feed Analysis are combined into the Feed Central Quality Certificate - a recognised certificate that can be used to help growers market their product, or give buyers in-depth knowledge of a product that they cannot inspect themselves. Valuation
You will get the Quality Certificate and professional written market appraisal from our sales team.

Step 6: Website
The Quality Certificate, photo and Commodity Vendor Declaration are all posted on the Feed Central website. Feed Central Website

About our Inspection and Daily Listing Fees?

Inspections:
Feed Central inspecting, sampling and feed testing hay gives buyers the confidence to buy “site un-seen”. Post inspection growers receive the Hay Quality Certificate (inc. visual and feed analysis results) and the market appraisal / valuation. In addition the Quality Certificate, Photos, CVD’s etc are all uploaded to the website. We DO NOT ask for exclusivity of your hay and we encourage you to use the Feed Central Quality Certificate to market the hay privately and locally. Most importantly in our system growers set the sell prices. Presuming we sell your hay a substantial part of these fees are rebated.

Daily Listing Fees:
We are committed to running a great website, that has up to date and accurate hay listings. The daily listings fees (just 90cents) is a very modest amount of money designed to encourage growers to keep their prices, quantity and other details up to date. This is good for all of us as no one wants to be associated with a website with outdated and irrelevant information on it.

These fees are modest and are based on the principle of cost recovery. In comparison to other forms of advertising and the significant investment that you have made in your hay to date, Feed Central is exceptionally good value for money. Without these fees it would be necessary for us to dictate prices, pick and choose which lines we inspect and to expect exclusivity – this is not our way of doing business.
