The Feed Central Team

The Feed Central Team includes a group of high performing people, some of which have been involved in Feed Central for in excess of 10 years. The team includes the business owner, staff, casual staff, field representatives, transport companies and drivers.

The team spreads all over the country and we try to come together for training and some fun at least once per year.

Tim Ford  -  Managing Director Tim established Feed Central in 2002 is the current Managing Director. Tim has extensive hay and family farming experience in Southern NSW, Victoria, Northern NSW and Queensland. He has worked at a professional level of marketing hay and agricultural produce both domestically and internationally for just on 20 years. Born and bred in the Riverina, Tim completed part of his secondary education in Melbourne, some in Western Queensland and then in Brisbane, before attending the University of Queensland (Gatton) to study a Bachelor of Business (Agribusiness). Tim has travelled extensively within Australia and internationally to gain an exceptional understanding of climatic and market conditions. Tim is an active member of the Australia Fodder Industry Association (AFIA), including board service for 3 year period. Tim is currently a Board Member of the Queensland Agricultural Merchants Assoc Inc. When not working at Feed Central Tim enjoys spending time with his growing family and improving the family home. Ian Wickham  -  National Sales & Marketing Manager Ian has joined Feed Central as manager for the Southern Qld Region, to specifically work with clients in this region in the area of hay, straw, silage and feed grain marketing. Promoted to National Sales Manager its Ian's responsibility to ensure our focus is to market your hay. Locally born and bred on the Darling Downs, Ian was educated through Toowoomba Grammar School and Gatton College. Ian has worked for many years in the Agricultural Industry and has an extensive knowledge of the fodder and grain industries. You may know Ian through his previous roles including promoting the use of hay treatments / inoculants in the area. Ian is a qualified agronomist and will subsequently be able to put these skills to good use through consultancy work and general farm service. Neville Janke  -  Merchandise Sales Manager Neville Janke has joined the Feed Central Team to kick start our Farm Inputs / Merchandise Business. Many of you will know Neville as a qualified agronomist; with over 15 years experience guiding farmers in the Agricultural and Horticultural industries. Neville will be able to assist you with a wide variety of farm inputs and advice, including soil testing; seed; fertilizer; chemical; baling twine etc. Growing up on the Darling Downs in a mixed farming operation of dairy, beef & grain set Neville up on a lifetime journey of studying soil nutrition. The first steps were taken in correcting the balance of nutrition for the production of quality produce. Many steps have followed and the experience gained will result in Neville and Feed Central being able to service your needs better than ever. Responsibility in managing Fertiliser Companies and the thirst for information saw Neville complete Diplomas in Business Management, Agriculture, Horticulture and Landscaping. Neville has also studied Mineral Nutrition and applied this to many sections of Soil, Plant and Animal requirements across Australia. Nicci Ryan  -  Administration & Accounts Coordinator Nicci is the friendly voice and often 1st point of contact at Feed Central. Nicci's youth and enthusiasm has seen her being promoted to being responsible for all areas of the administration of the business. $$$ Be nice to Nicci - she is the one who organises and does all the payments $$$ Jim Watson  -  Logistics Jim brings to the company a number of years of experience. You will no doubt be speaking to Jim to help coordinate the arrival or departure of your hay!!! Les Toohey  -  Field Rep VIC/SA Les is Feed Central's Field Representative based in Tarrington, Vic. He services the area of Southern and Western Victoria and through South Australia. Les's attention to detail is excellent. On days not inspecting hay Les enjoy's a cruise on vintage motor bikes and is always keen to share his love for this form of travel!
